Bachelor Programme
You can study Work and Organisational Psychology in our accredited BSc programme in two successive courses.
In module 27-AF-AO1 you get an introduction to Work and Organisational Psychology. It focuses on fundamental principles of, job demands and job satisfaction, job analysis, counterproductive work behavior, job motivation, personnel selection, assessment, and development as well as leadership and group processes in organizations, among other things.
The advanced seminars of module 27-AF-AO2 provide opportunity for intensive engagement with various fields of Organizational and Applied Social Psychology, including leadership and communication, work groups and teamwork, creativity and innovation in organizations, cognitive ergonomics, or processes of persuasion in marketing and advertising.
Master Programme
M.Sc. Applied Psychology: Diagnostics, Counselling and Training
At Bielefeld University, the Psychology BSc programme can be followed by a Master's programme Applied Psychology: Diagnostics, Counselling and Training in the field of Work and Organisational Psychology (three modules).
Module examination in module 27-AP-Einf
This module includes the introductory seminar in work, organizational and social psychology. This includes an introduction into the major fields of work and organizational psychology. Subjects covered include personnel selection processes (e.g. planning and conducting requirements analyses, interviews or assessment centers) and work design (e.g. work analyses, organizational development, technology acceptance, human-machine interaction). Module examination in module 27-AP-ProjectAOS
This module includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of a project on interventions and processes in organizations and society. Exemplary subjects are the development of exercises and the actual implementation of an assessment center or the design of a digital workplace including evaluation. Module examination in module 27-AP-ProjectTW
This module includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of a project with a focus on internal education and training as well as external adult education. Exemplary education and training concepts include (supervised) trainings in job application or time management. You will find more information about the module examination here.
